patch errors on 2.6.8 kernel

You cannot use cvs on kernels prior to 2.6.12 any longer because of
the major changes in console code included in the 2.6.12 release.  To
patch kernels earlier than that you should grab the speakup-2.0 tar
ball from the linux-speakup.org site and patch from that.
