Why not try an experiment? There's lots of places to put things you want
to have happen automatically in linux. The question to answer is do you
want it to happen for every account or on initial login or only for
specific account? modprobe imm should be the line that also loads lp and
then loads itself since it needs lp to work. To do it in a specific
account on login put that in .profile. To make it happen every initial
login, put it in /etc/rc.d/rc.local. slackware doesn't overwrite that
like redhat does.
