Efficiently using terminal with screenreader

This is off-topic but are you talking about the Terminal app in MacOS?
To navigate line-by-line, you press shift+option+control+downArrow and
then you can use the option+control+arrowKeys to navigate the screen. I
don't know how to do things like select text and all that. I don't use
the Mac Terminal app very often.

I’m still having trouble navigating a terminal and if I could run speak up, I could set up an automated workflow to turn off voiceover, run speak up and run terminal? I don’t understand why there are not commands to navigate line by line in the native terminal on OS X.
