Speakup Dies when I Sleep my Laptop!

I have a script in /etc/pm/sleep.d where I stop and start 
speech-dispatcher, and in my case speechd-up.
This is on vinux/ubuntu, but you are likely to have the same capability.
Let me know if you want the script.
