Thanks to both of you.  Like I say, I've probably been sitting around
in my own sandbox too long and missing some of the trends or
differences.  That's interesting if some people are moving away from
bash, a defacto standard for most linux distros I've known about.

William's link pointed out the name beginners guide so maybe this
isn't so new after all.  Most of my Linux education has come from
emersion and no formal training so if I pick up bad examples along the
way, then thaat's the consequences of self teaching.  But new methods
can be learned the same way though.
