reconfiguring xserver-xorg (xorg.conf)

This is just a guess but i think you need to reconfigure debconf. Maybe you 
have it configured to ask only mmedium questions.

# dpkg-reconfigure debconf
<select  low priority>
# dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
