fedoraproject everything repository repom file broken

I don't understand, Jude. There are multiple repositories that are all
mirrors. The yum application will access these in a rollover fashion.
So, I'm unclear what you tried to do and what happened, but your
conclusion is, I think, somewhat off the mark.
