errors when reinstalling kernel-2.6.19 on fedora core 6

do 'lsmod |grep pcspkr'

It shouldbe there by default. If not, modprobe it in for the backspace
beeps.

Don't mess with the mkinitrd script. If you want a script, write your
own that passes arguments.
