dsl with mci

hi all,
does anyone know if mci dsl works with linux?
the reason that i am thinking about this
is for an extra 20.00 i could join there dsl
i found the dsl setup and scripts for using dsl,
it looks pretty easy to setup and use,
my only question is is dsl pretty much the same
from company to company??
i have been learning about pppoe
and i now understand about networking with ethernet cards,
anyway, hope everyone is doing ok,
