default speakup for Debian Sarge

Hi.
Since I use the kernel-package Debian package, upgrading my kernel after
the install is just copy my pre-built package to the new system and do
dpkg -i my_local_package.deb
I'm also using 2.6.11 with speakup 2.0. Unfortunately, I made changes
to the config to make my package specific to my systems, so others can't
use them without having problems like no IDE support for there chipset
and only support for the sblive and intel810 soundcards. Also, It will
only work on an AMD k7, so intel CPU users will be out of luck.
I didn't know about the choice of boot loaders being broken. You might
want to check bugs.debian.org and file a bug if there isn't already one
filed. Since the only difference from the speakup install, and the
official one is the kernel, problems like not allowing you to choose
lilo instead of grub are general bugs in the installer.
BTW, now that I've started using grub, I find I like it better than
lilo. I do understand that grub might not meet the needs of others, but
it works great for me.
Hope this helps.
