harmless buttons

Steve,

One of the configuration options makes submit buttons unnecessary. A 
form is submitted when you press enter on a text entry field. I wonder 
if that might get around your harmless button problem? Place the 
following in your elinks.conf file and see if it helps:

set document.browse.forms.confirm_submit = 0
