having speak up installation problems

Mentioning the cable is a good suggestion. If I disconnect the cable to my bns,
or if something like my cat walks across it and jiggles it enough to loose the
connection, speakup will stop speaking untill I restart the system. Read
through the docs available on the netinst iso. I believe speakup is built as
modules on this disk. If that is the case, can't you just try to issue the
command modprobe speakup_bns? You may have posted this several times already,
but for clarity, where exactly does the installer stop speaking? Your other
option is to download and create the floppy immages available from the debian
ports status page. It will say access floppy. You have a choice ofusing the
rc2 immages for sarge, or the daily build immage which has some bug fixes after
rc2. The debian installation manual explains how to create floppy disk immages.
If you're using windows, you can find and download ntrawrite. This gave me
better luck then the plain command-line rawrite under a dosmode in windows.
