Helo From Server

[Rejean Proulx]

When my exim server sends a message it does a helo from .interfree.ca  What
puts the dot in from the the address like that?  Do we have any control of
this?  My mail is being rejected by a site and I don't know why.

When the interfree.ca SMTP talks to another SMTP, does it say
helo .interfree.ca
or
helo interfree.ca
If the former, you might want to change it to the latter. I think it
is the former, as this is what the headers on the message I got from you,
and am replying to right now, say
Received: from localhost
([127.0.0.1] helo=.interfree.ca ident=list)
You might like to change this, as .interfree.ca isn't a correct
server name.

The url to interfree is interfree.ca
or for the web www.interfree.ca
try a ping to interfree.ca and you will find it works.  I can receive from
Sandra but not send to her.  Because they reject my server.
