MP3 player with bookmarks?

Listen-up was mentioned as a possible solution.  That is indeed a
software solution that is free and runs on Linux.  I haven't played
with it for quite some time now.  I thought I saw some bookmarks
feature in there but also don't know if it actually works or not.  I
kind of gave up on it for a while since I don't have any daisy books
here to read and Bookshare's implementation apparently sucks because
it won't work with listen-up!
