You are very close.  Caldera did spin off the Dr. DOS off to Lineo.
However, I believe Caldera bought Dr. DOS from Novell when it was divesting
itself of non-network related product.  Dr. DOS was sold around the same
time as Wordperfect Office and Paradox.  Dr. DOS's Web site is
www.drdos.com  It is a shame I just found it after all these years, and
now, they are discontinueing the support of this product.
