Freeamp Questions

I thought I'd give Freeamp a try so I configured it with --enable-cmdline
and compiled and installed the thing.  So far it sounds pretty good but I
can't figure out how to manage the mymusic and playlists.  It comes up
with a few console commands that will move you around within and between
tracks.  But there is no mention of how to load and save and otherwise
manipulate playlists and the personal music folders.  The help files only
mention GUI style navigation.  Has anyone around these parts been able to
take advantage of freeamp's other features or is the console mode
restricted?
