Hi, Jim. I'm not an expirt here, but I've always got my word processing
things done in Emacs which comes with RH 7.1.
To add packages you use the Red Hat package Maniger called rpm.
To install a package use:
rpm -i filename.rpm.
To remove unwanted packages you can type:
rpm -e package name.
If you want to search for something installed:
rpm -qa package name.
As for games there are quite a few text games on the Tucows.com site that
you can build and install.
Also you can get the Free BSD game pack wich has hangman which I love.
I'm also in the process of writing my own text games in c++, but none of
them are ready for release.
I've not really had time to spend lots of time on building a full
application yet.
