speakup and serial stuff

Hi Raul:  That sounds like it may be the problem we have had over the
eaons with some serial ports not being initialized correctly.  I think
the work around on v-0.09 was to turn on serial output in lilo.
Someone else with have to confirm that though like Frank.

We have since fixed the problem in the cvs version of speakup, but
that's no help to you currently.
