Hi,

Theese are just a few that I can think of off the top of my had. There are hundreds more which someone else may think of right off the bat.
cd, fdisk, dir (I use ls instead), more (check its man page for cyntax with the command 'man more'), time.
That's all I can think of for now. The best way for me to learn about unix in general was to read a book or 2.
Greg

Subject: just a few more questions about linux.

Hi it's me again the linux newby. hehehe.
I'd like to know if some of the dos commands we use to use and sometimes still do, apply to linux in some way if at all. and if so, how and where?
I know it appears to be a dumb question but remember, I've never used it before so I'm well, um. flying blind as it were. Parden the pun. I'd appreciate any help on this.. thanks for putting up with me.
  Shaun
