Hi Gary: I would use the cvs version of speakup if you're going to
compile your own kernel. You can get all linux kernel source tar
balls from ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/.... You could also get a
prebuilt distribution of either debian, slackware or Redhat from
various places.
