sblive speaker configurations

Well, you either have a newer card than I do or there is something
else really weird. I have 4 eighth inch jacks and the game/midi
connector.
I have the output of my DoubleTalk speaker going through a matching
transformer into the line-in. I have the built-in aplifier of the
system output
from the microphone going into mic-in, I have the main-out from the
sound card going into the built-in amplifier of the system for my
built-in speakers and I have the rear-out of the card going into a rf
transmitter which powers remote speakers on the head-board in my
bedroom.
Now Chuck and I corresponded a bit off list and I told him I am using
the 0.9beta6 alsa drivers. However, it worked as well when I was
using 0.5.10b.
I recommend the 0.9beta6 drivers for anyone with a sblive because they
give you individual control over the virtual pcm devices for volume.
I can be listening to freeamp and when someone starts talking on the
reflector I can turn down the volume of freeamp without affecting speak freely.
That's how it works for me. YMMV!
