Hi Steve and all. On my LFS system, the line that mainly controls automatic module loading is this one, located in my /etc/udev/rules.d/41-modprobe.rules:
ENV{MODALIAS}=="?*",    RUN+="/sbin/modprobe $env{MODALIAS}"
