Well, I am about to install XP Pro and it offers fat32 and ntfs options. I wouldnt go with Linux first since I know nothing about it and know nobody around who is into it. This whole thing about Linux and speakup is unclear to me -- first install Linux and then compile speakup with its compiler? Many thanks. Ned
