Using console text editors with Speakup

grep can help cut the boring out.
grep -in status .joerc will show all lines with line numbers in .joerc 
with status on them and be case-insensitive about that search too.  If 
another editor can be opened on .joerc with the first line number of 
interest then configuration improvement can happen more quickly with 
less boredom.
Use of sed can be quite effective with the correct sed script too.
