An alternative source is at gmane.org (either as an NNTP newsgroup or on the
Web). You can also search gmane.org (it uses Xapian as its search tool).

Finally, in case anyone on the list isn't aware of it, you can post to the
Speakup list via gmane.org using the gmane.linux.kernel.speakup newsgroup. You
will be sent a confirmation request via e-mail for spam prevention purposes;
after that, you can post as much as you wish.

Gmane.org is definitely keeping NNTP newsgroups alive.
