Speakup broken with kernel 3.4.x (ArchLinux users please read)

Yes, check the Speakup archive for the details which Ican't replay off
the top of my head.
For example, those of us up to date with our Speakup Modified Fedora 17
kernels are now on:
3.4.5-2.spk.fc17
