hardware synth, USB, and udev

O, boy, Liz, I am so glad you mention our DecTalk USB.  I think its Slackware 
which automaticly detects it.  Without any success, I am still trying to run 
interceptty  to log Speakup commands to the DecTalk, but something like 
/dev/tty/s0  doen't get us anywhere.
And so far if I go past this Debian 2.6.32 kernel, I would have no speech.

In reality, over the months, I've tried writing William Hubs and others who 
understand the DecTalk in realation to speakup.
