error loading speakup_ltlk module

More on this problem...

I booted the current stable grml CD, grml_2011.05, and did the same thing 
but only on a 64 bit machine....
root at test1 ~ # modprobe speakup_ltlk
FATAL: Error inserting speakup_ltlk 
(/lib/modules/2.6.38-grml/kernel/drivers/sta
ging/speakup/speakup_ltlk.ko): No such device
root at test1 ~ #
root at test1 ~ # uname -a
Linux test1.math.wisc.edu 2.6.38-grml #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue May 24 15:10:58 UTC 
2011 i686 GNU/Linux

It works on a 32 bit machine.
