Please however not document to set SCREEN_WIDTH and HEIGHT by hand:
console-setup _already_ uses the maximum screen size, there is no need
to hand-compute anything and set them.

It should be documented in case some tweeking below the maximum is desired.
Larry found with the increased lines, there seemed occasional dropped
characters - if this rate had become unacceptable, rolling back a bit
might be desired till the real problem was solved.
Calculating the expectations and comparing them to the real world
results verifies that everything is copasetic.
Theory seems to match reality.

No, these fonts are meant only to display braille glyphs, and can not be
used to display normal text.

That said, I can easily create a package which contains unreadable fonts
of any size, even 1x1.
