Problem with espeakup on debian unstable

Hi all.

I am running debian unstable with kernel 2.6.38-2-686 on a thinkpad t23. 
Everything is actually 
working fine except for output I get at boot and when I run a command with 
espeak. (See below). I saw similar output in an email in the February 
archives but the discussion centered around Arch linux and 
speech-dispatcher. Can anybody tell me if there's a solution to this I 
should implement in debian. Speech actually works fine but the output is 
irritating. I haven't been tweaking or experimenting with my sound; it's 
running just as it's installed on debian. Again, this output actually only 
shows up at boot and when directly using espeak and doesn't seem to be causing actual sound 
problems.
