Hi.
I got it working yesterday.
Don't ask me how I did, I just installed virtualbox, and qemu, and that
installed some libraries that made speechd-up to work.
I installed a .deb package that I had found.

I don't know what was wroing, here is a speechd-up log from yesterday, with
errors, Ok, there are softsynth errors here, but I didn't have any other
modules loaded at the time.
[Mon Jun 14 00:06:27 2010] speechd: Speechd-speakup starts!
[Mon Jun 14 00:06:27 2010] speechd: Error while openning the device in
read/write mode 2,No such file or directory
[Mon Jun 14 00:06:27 2010] speechd: Trying to open the device in the old
way.
[Mon Jun 14 00:06:27 2010] speechd: Error while openning the device in read
mode 2,No such file or directory
[Mon Jun 14 00:06:27 2010] speechd: ERROR! Unable to open soft synth device
(/dev/softsynth)
What could have been wrong?
/Kristoffer
