Hi Cheryl,

The value in full_time will be the same regardless of when speakup is loaded.
This is a timer that tells speakup how long to wait when the synth is
full before it attempts to send more data to the synth.

If you do not know how to check full_time, here is the command to check
it.

cat /sys/module/speakup/parameters/full_time

Can you type that command and let me know the number you get back?
