Something Broken in Speakup with spkout

Steve,

To clarify more: On my system these errors occur independent of what
synth I use, i.e. soft or ltlk, in my case.

Two of the files that cause these errors have 0 length after
speakupconf creates them, and also in the source from which they were
copied. They are lang, and silent.
