Unix

One thing I am wondering about is the baud rate. I had my doubletalk
working once on an ms-dos computer running vocal eyes as my screen
reader. I think the mode command is used in ms-dos for com ports. And
there is a way to set the communication parameters with the mode
command and I don't know if doubletalk runs on like 9600 baud? Would I
need to set this in unix on my mac? There are other things like parity
and some other parameters that I don't know if I need to set? Like
would my computer be able to communicate with my doubletalk synthesizer?
