filtering with procmail

I haven't looked at your rc, but I can tell you what I do in similar
situations. I keep the following lines commented out at the top of my
.procmailrc. I uncomment them when I need to get to the bottom of
problems like the one you're describing. Note also the provision to test
some new rules before putting them in production, so to speak:
#Set on when debugging
VERBOSE=on
#Directory for storing procmail log and rc files
PMDIR=$HOME/sbin/procmail
LOGFILE=$PMDIR/log
#     INCLUDERC=$PMDIR/rc.test
