espeakup problems in Ubuntu 9.10

Hi Guenni,

Thanks for the response.  I wasn't getting any espeak output after the
error though in retrospect I think the install had some other issues.

So to clarify, even with this error you got Speakup/espeakup/espeak
working in Karmic?  Might have to do a festive re-install.
