This is another instance where speakup's highlight tracking let me down.  
But I'm now in business.

I'll pass along a comment on my mail setup for what it's worth.  I am 
the only user of this machine so wanted to keep the mail thing as simple 
as possible.  I'm using a combination of mutt, ssmtp and getmail to 
handle the mail.  I also have my /home in its own partition and set the 
spoolfile to point to the inbox in my Mail directory.
