lenny net installer

I have downloaded the net installer beta 2 for lenny.

However, I cannot get speakup to come up talking.

I have done the following

booted from cd
when cd spins down hit tab and down arrow
then entered speakup.synth=apollo

Got my daughter to look at what was happening and there was an error 
saying unrecognised boot parameter.

So, do I have the wrong iso or am I missing something?
