Wasn't difficult at all.  I did startx -configure as root then ran startx 
in user account then logged in again and ran orca in setup mode and now 
all of that works except for the sound so far.  Orca talks but there 
should be a log in sound before it starts among others.  I did find sound 
card detection in the preferences menu but didn't find a sounds selection 
yet.  Probably there and I was looking in the wrong preferences.
