Beeping grub in Ubuntu

Hi List, Luke and Chuck,

many thanks for the advice  howto get the "control+g" Sing into a
textfile.
I use lilo, put the beep into a file "boot-message" which is displayed
by lilo, and now it beeps and i can type any alias-key much faster...
