speakup and hald conflict in Slackware 12.2

2.0.6 is marginally useable.  I was able to create a virtual machine 
using the Gui though I had a lot of trouble navigating.  Seems to work 
better with older versions of Jaws (5.0) for whatever reason.
Nice to have vboxmanage working again...
