Hello all, i'm not sure if this is off topic or nah but here we go.
I started playing with the Ubuntu hardy release today and noticed some interesting things.
1. pulseaudio works like it is supposed to.
2. I installed speech-dispatcher, and tried to play with orca thi didn't work.
Searching around on the web yields that speech-dispatcher was apparently disabled from starting up in the hardy release?
I can't actually start speech-dispatcher because it gives me some permission errors, but I think it has to do something with pulseaudio grabbing the sound device and not letting it go, correct me if i'm wrong.
I read somewhere that TTsynth will not be support in ubuntu hardy? Does this also apply to voxin, I'm not sure if voxin uses the same libs as ttsynth or not.
Thanks for all your help.
Farhan
