speak up and ubunto

Its "ubuntu" and I don't think it does.
You are welcome to use my .23 kernel though. It is a deb file; dpkg -i 
filename.deb will get it installed and it comes with speakup.
Mail me off list if you want it.

I haven't bothered to compile a new kernel since I hardly use speakup 
these days.
I only use it occasionally on my laptop and the rest of the time I use 
brltty.
