problem booting fedora

Hi,

sorry if this is off topic.
Two nights ago, I booted up my fedora 6 box. After browsing the web a bit and listening to some music, I had fallen asleep, and one of my friends swiched off my computer by holding down the power button. 
The next day my computer didn't go farther than the kernel decompressing stage. After resetting the ram, it dit boot until the stage where it starts the hal daemon and now it just stops there.
Please help me and thangs in advanced.
