Regarding running Linux with Speakup under a virtual machine withWindows XP

Where would one find a Sip gateway for Skype? Wouldn't you need Windows 
somewhere to run such a thing? It would also mean another computer as well, 
some guy on a show wanted it to integrate with Asterisk so people could call 
from online or the phone into the same system.
