samba and 98?

Hello everyone,
I just got samba configured properly.
Here's the problem.
When I try to login with 98, it always says invalid parameter.
What's going on?
Is there something I need to do, or can do to get samba working?
Is there another program that is compatible with 98?
I am just looking for a way to network my files. E.g, let me access my files as if they were in a folder on my computer, so I can listen to my music and etc, and still have it on my linux computer.
