I think the problem with the cdrom is happening because the cdrom neds cleaning. There's a cd cleaner disk that can be bought at places like Wal-Mart among others that is inserted once fluid that comes with the kit is put on it and it's run through the drive once every so often. Once that's done and all directions followed this problem should go away.
