need help getting fedora 6 to boot with speech

You'll need to get someone, perhaps your girlfriend again, to look.

FC3 is a completely different kernel with different everything. It
doesn't pertain. All that proves is that your synthesizer is working as
specified on the boot line. Something else about your hardware is
apparently hosing your boot before Speakup has a chance ot load.
