Daniel, Here is the 815 chipset http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/815/ This is an AC97 audio chip and does appear to be supported by linux ALSA sound drivers, it can use the generic AC97 sound driver Intel/SiS/nVidia/AMD/ALi AC97 Controller I see no reason why this should not work with speakup. -- Doug
