Hi all. I have to run Memtest86 on a couple of machines, just to make sure there are no bad chips; and if there are, I can isolate them using badram. Right now I'm running it on my LFS
desktop, and output is being dumped to /dev/ttyS0 with no way to interrupt it. As a result, I missed a single error in the first test. As with most anything, I always believe there is a better
way to do something than however it's currently being done; does anyone know a good way to obtain the capability to review Memtest86's output? The only other way I can think to do this is to
connect my laptop to the serial port, and have Minicom connect across the line to the other machine. However, I currently lack a null modem cable. Am I pretty much SOL as far as that goes, or
did I miss something? Thanks for any input.
